Art Exhibition 'Gaia: The Origin' M.A.D.S. Art Gallery Milano

I was so pleased to participate in another wonderful exhibition curated by the talented art curators in Milan, Italy at M.A.D.S. Art Gallery Milano. This exhibition was right up my alley focusing on Gaia! five of my paintings were included.

Critical Review of my work by Senior Art Curator Alessia Perone in the Catalogue for the Exhibition”

“The five works of Kathy Stanley presented for the exhibition “Gaia - The Origin” at the M.A.D.S. Art Gallery in Milan, are the result of a careful study of this theme as well as of the beliefs and legends of ancient civilizations: in this way, by combining art and history, art helps the viewer to recover the original contact with his/her own spirit. The artist is perfectly able to take back to the roots of the Earth’s origin, emphasizing an unspoiled nature, like a real paradise of Eden. Moreover, the surrounding environment can even emerge from the representation of deities or supernatural presences, involving the world of dreams and spirits. All this helps the artist to convey a strong message to the observer: Nature is the pivotal element of every living being, which illuminates with its essence and it spreads vital energy to the whole globe. For this reason, reconnecting with it is essential to bring back that true, real and authentic contact that made the individual free.” ~ Alessia Perone, Senior Art Curator
